25" (64 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass eyes that "flirt" from the clockwork mechanism hidden inside head, long painted curly lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth with outlined lips, tongue, brunette mohair bobbed wig, composition bent limb baby body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1294 Simon & Halbig Made in Germany 62. Comments: circa 1920, the eyes operate by winding the mechanism from the attached key hidden under the wig. Value Points: very fine original condition with superior luminous patina of bisque, deeply sculpted features, original body and body finish, antique costume, rare eye mechanism that functions well.
