Description
12" (30 cm.) Solid domed bisque shoulderhead, cobalt blue glass eyes, painted lashes, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque lower arms, porcelain lower legs with painted boots. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 2/0 H. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1880. Value Points: beautiful early doll with very pale complexion enhanced by brilliant eyes and softly blushed cheeks, wearing original Carmelite nun habit and accessories.
