24" (61 cm.) Each is pressed felt, depicting gentle-faced older man and lady, each with impressed wrinkles, painted facial features, closed mouth, the man with white mohair wig and long curly beard and sideburns, and the woman with white hair in bun, each with felt body jointed at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Made in England by Norah Wellings (cloth tag on wrist). Comments: Norah Wellings, circa 1930. Value Points: each wears its fine original and well-detailed costume of felt and cotton, the man with walking stick and the woman with woven basket.
