20" (51 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with flat-cut neck socket, blue glass enamel inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, composition and wooden fully-jointed body with attached ball-joints and straight wrists, well costumed in black velvet suit, silk shirt with lace collar, boots. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 12. Comments: possibly Kestner, circa 1880. Value Points: unusual neck attachment, fine quality bisque and luminous patina of complexion, original early body.
