11" (28 cm.) Felt swivel head of chubby-faced boy with pressed and painted facial features, brown googly-shaped upper glancing eyes, painted lashes, high arched brows, pug nose, closed mouth with tiny rosebud lips, brunette mohair wig,muslin body, felt limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Lenci (paper label with original ink script notation PF/39.) Comments: Lenci, circa 1935. Value Points: the whimsical urchin is perfectly preserved with great expression, wearing original plaid shirt and overalls, and clasping a large bunch of colorful felt flowers.
