12" (30 cm.) Arranged upon a wooden platform with tin wheels is a fancy boat with wood-grained painting and decoration, and standing in the boat is a little bisque-headed boy, posed realistically with one foot on the inner railing for leverage, and holding a long handled paddle. Seated in front is a little bisque headed girl holding flowers in one hand and a bell in the other. When the toy is pulled along, the boy pivots his upper torso side to side as though rowing, and the girl waves her arm briskly, ringing the bell. Condition: generally excellent, mechanical functions well. the costumes are original albeit dusty, and there is a 1" water spot on the platform. Marks: LC (dolls). Comments: bisque dolls by Conte, the toy circa 1900. Value Points: amusing activity of a peaceful country scene, a rare toy to find, original condition.
