Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark painted eye liner, lightly painted lashes and arched brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette hand-tied human hair wig over cork pate, pink kid poupee body with shapely waist, gusset-jointed hips, stitched and separated fingers and toes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: in the Barrois manner, circa 1860. Value Points: very rare large model poupee, likely an exhibition model, whose dramatic cobalt eyes contrast with the delicate bisque, original body, early costume includes print dress with cap sleeves, undergarments, leather slippers, and antique bonnet labeled "Martha" on the interior.
