Description
17" (43 cm.) Celluloid socket head with flocked finish to simulate delicate matte complexion, blue glass eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with rosebud-shaped lips, very curly blonde fleecy hair, five piece celluloid body with flocked finish on arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: No. 7 Germany (helmet mark, on head and torso). Comments: circa 1935, the celluloid doll was commissioned by Lenci and given its distinctive flocked complexion and costume. Value Points: outstanding original condition of the beautiful doll with wonderful organdy and felt party dress with hoop form, bonnet and purse profusely decorated with tiny pastel felt flowers and leaves.
