Description
16" (41 cm.) (16" x 10" ) Posed upon a wooden platform with back stage designed to represent a garden setting are six little bisque dolls with musical instruments. When knob at front is turned the dolls wave their arms, kick their feet, and turn their heads back and forth in a festive manner, as they appear to be playing musical instruments, while doll in the center leads the band. Condition: doll on bottom right is replaced head and damaged, costumes and background are original albeit quite dusty, mechanism and music function well. Comments: dolls by Gebruder Heubach, automaton by Zinner and Sohne, circa 1910. Value Points: rarer to find six doll presentation, with amusing and realistic movements.
