Description
20" (51 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features, very large "O" shaped side-glancing googly eyes, dark painted upper lashes, arched brows high on forehead, upturned nose, "O"-shaped mouth, blonde wig in ringlet curls, muslin torso, felt jointed arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Lenci (foot) (also original paper label on skirt). Comments: Lenci, circa 1930. Value Points: the amusing wide-eyed girl is wonderfully preserved with original vibrant costume and accessories, the felt gown of chartreuse green and cream felt with embroidered flowers, the wide-brimmed bonnet with a lavish cluster of multi-colored flowers, and carrying a wooden bird cage with little bird.
