Description
4" (10 cm.) 4" Kewpie. Each of the mohair teddies, in variant shades of gold or brown has swivel head and jointed limbs, black bead eyes, embroidered nose and mouth; the larger has original Steiff (underscored) button in ear. The one-piece all-bisque Kewpie is standing with inclined head, clasping a large guitar in his arms. Condition: generally excellent, signed bear has somewhat sparse mohair. Comments: Kewpie, Germany, circa 1910. Bears, Germany, Steiff or Schuco, circa 1930.
