Description
16" (41 cm.) Each has pressed felt swivel head with center seam, depicting 16" little boy and 11" elfin creature; the boy with bright blue glass eyes, rounded nose, tiny painted mouth, mohair short hair, five piece felt body; the elf with upturned face, green glass eyes set into stitched sockets, pointy nose, felt applique stitched mouth, mohair beard and brows, plump body with stitching at shoulders and hips, over-sized feet. Condition: good, some moth holes, finger wear, mohair beard worn. Marks: Steiff (button in ear on boy). Comments: Steiff, circa 1920. Value Points: rare little pair with original costumes, amusing expressions.
