Description

17" (43 cm). Bisque socket head, tiny almond shaped blue glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, feathered arched brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed including antique undergarments, shoes and socks, holding little doll. Condition: restoration at back of head onto forehead. Marks: 134 5. Comments: Hertel and Schwab, circa 1912. Value Points: rare little model with appealing tentative smile, facial painting of feature is beautifully rendered and original, original body and body finish.
