23" (58 cm). Bisque socket head, deeply sculpted facial features portraying a wide-eyed smiling girl, painted shaded blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with painted row of teeth between the outlined lips, impressed cheek dimples, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed including antique shoes and straw bonnet. Condition: professional restoration at the back of the head and under the chin, body repainted. Marks: 151 S&H. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1910, from their art character series. Value Points: grand large size allows superb expression of sculpting.
