20" (51 cm). Bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded lips, dimpled chin, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with metal hands, lovely antique red silk dress and bonnet, undergarments, black stockings and shoes. Condition: generally excellent, body is not original but is appropriately sized and of the period. Marks: F. 8 G. Comments: Gaultier, circa 1882, with rare body of Petit & Dumoutier. Value Points: deeply sculpted features enhance the gentle expression and choice bisque.
