Description
5 1/2" (14 cm.) Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque elongated torso, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with pertly-shaped lips, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs with ball-jointing at elbows, bare feet, costume included. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bte (back torso). Comments: French, circa 1880, the all-bisque mignonette with ball-jointed elbows was deposed by Sustrac in 1877 and then by Schmitt & Fils in 1879. Value Points: extremely rare mignonette model in impeccable condition, with exquisite beauty.
