Description

16" (41 cm). Bisque socket head, blue painted eyes glancing to the left, thick black upper eyeliner, one stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with row of painted teeth between the accented smiling lips, dimpled cheek and chin dimples, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 151 S&H 0 1/ 2. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1910, from their rare art character series. Value Points: wonderful detail of sculpted dimples and laughter creases around eyes and mouth enhanced by finest bisque, original body and body finish.
