16" (41 cm). Pink-tinted bisque socket head with double faces, one smiling face with brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils of rounded nose, closed mouth modeled as though open with smiling expression, dimpled cheeks; the other face with worried expression, painted intaglio eyes, curvy brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with modeled stuck-out tongue, shaded lips, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 8371 (smiling face) 44 (crying face). Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1915. Value Points: very rare double-faced variation, each face being a rare model, with excellent bisque, sculpting and painting.
