21" (53 cm). Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, thick eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows with decorative glaze, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils of pointy-tip nose, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips,blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden eight-loose-ball- jointed body with straight wrists, antique silk dress, undergarments, mohair plush coat and cap, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 14. Comments: Kestner, circa 1885, the model closely resembles the French A.T. bebe by Thuillier and was created to compete with that French market. Value Points: rare model with wonderfully modeled features, lovely quality of bisque and painting, original early body.
