Description
23" (58 cm). Bisque socket head, blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with painted teeth between the accented lips, brunette human hair, hollow carton body, jointed composition arms, composition painted boots and lower legs. The doll's body separates at the lower legs to reveal the hollow interior torso for use as candy container. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1915, the model head is referred to as "Marque look-alike". Value Points: wonderful large candy container doll, wearing original crystal snow flaked winter hooded coat with cotton "fur" trim, carrying Christmas tree with wooden base.
