Bisque swivel head with rich brown complexion on matching kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, large amber brown glass enamel inset eyes, black painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with coral-shaded lips, black beauty mark, pierced ears, black mohair wig over cork pate, brown kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 3 (head) 3 F.G. (shoulders) A La Galerie Vivienne_ (label on front torso). Comments: Gaultier, for the exclusive Parisian boutique that described itself as "les plus grands magasins de jouets de Paris", circa 1875. Value Points: rarely found and beautifully rendered complexion with pleasing hint of blush, original body, wearing original silk Moroccan costume, original boutique label.
