Description
23" (58 cm) armoire. Ebony-finished wooden armoire with paneled double front doors, arched crest, single drawer, is decorated with gilded Chinese scenes. Included is round pedestal table with similar gilded decorations. The style was very popular in people-sized furniture at the end of the 19th century, and this popularity translated into making smaller doll furniture. Excellent condition. Circa 1885.
