Bisque socket head portraying an adult woman with slender facial modeling, blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lashes, incised eyeliner, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth modeled as though lips are parted to reveal a row of sculpted teeth, shaded and accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, French composition and wooden fully-jointed lady body with very shapely torso and elongated limbs and fingers, nicely costumed in Edwardian manner. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1388 Germany Simon & Halbig S&H 5 (head) E D.B. Paris La Patricienne (body). Comments: Simon and Halbig, with French lady body deposed by Edmund Daspres, and styled for wearing of Edwardian style fashions, circa 1910. Value Points: rare model with very beautiful bisque, superb sculpting especially dimples and laughter lines around the mouth, rare body perfectly styled for this model head, with fine antique costume including original chemise labeled "La Patricienne".
