25" (64 cm). Bisque socket head, painted blue eyes with darker blue outer rims, white eye dots, thick black upper eyeliner with fringed lashes, incised eyeliner, one stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with pouty expression, full lips with shaded and accented detail, dimpled chin, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing antique cotton schooldress with pinafore, cap, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R 114 64. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1910,"Gretchen" from their art character reform series. Value Points: superb larger size of the wistful-faced child, allowing full expression of the sculpted character features, enhanced by finest matte bisque, original body, wig, body finish.
