Pressed bisque socket head with elongated face and very full cheeks, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, dimpled chin and lip corners, separately modeled and pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight- loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, large hands, wearing wonderful antique costume with soutache trimmed jacket, medal, pleated skirt, white blouse, stockings, undergarments, leather shoes with rosette and silver buckle trim. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E.J.A 10 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1882, the portrait model was made for one or two years only and appeared in only two sizes.
