All-wooden dollhouse of grand dimensions and elaborate English Tudor architectural detail, has half-timbered exteriors and wooden shingles on the intricately constructed roof with a multitude of towers, eaves, and chimneys. On one side of the house are two side galleries with carved balustrades, one with faux-tiled floor. The elaborately paneled front door is surmounted by a carving of the family coat of arms. Other exterior details include clock tower with clock, sundial, several other clocks, leaded and stained windows in a variety of shapes, birdhouse with weathervane, pigeon coop, lead water downspouts, hidden staircase in one corner tower to the second floor, numerous gargoyles and a carved date "1504". All of the interior rooms are richly paneled on walls and ceilings, some with half- timber, and each has hanging chandelier. There is one large room on the first floor with a mezzanine with staircase at one end, a large fireplace, and a built-in corner cupboard. The second floor has two rooms, each with an ornate fireplace and mantel, one having an oil painting above it, and a reading room with window alcoves. The servant's rooms in the attic include one fireplace and a privy closet with brass privy. Overall, an exceptional and unique house in excellent original state of preservation. English,19th century.
