Pressed bisque shoulder head with very full lower face, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark thick eyeliner, delicately painted lashes and brows, lightly blushed eyelids, cheeks and well-defined chin, accented eye corners and nostrils of slender-shaped nose, closed mouth with outlined lips, unpierced ears, blonde mohair fleecy wig over cork pate, French kid gusset-jointed body with shapely torso, stitched and separated fingers, well costumed in antique sheer muslin gown with embroidered designs, undergarments, shawl, stockings, leather boots signed C.P. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: B. Jne & Cie. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1860. Value Points: very beautiful face with brilliant eyes and artfully rendered blush, sturdy body, rare maker's signature to find.
