Description
16" (41 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, lightly painted lashes and brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid gusset- jointed lady body with shapely torso. Condition: generally excellent albeit some wear and patching on body. Marks: A La Galerie Vivienne/Guillard & Lemaire, Remond Succ. Rue des Petits Champs 4 (paper label on torso). Comments: circa 1870,the doll was sold from the prestige Parisian doll shop. Value Points: beautiful rich eyes are an elegant contrast to delicate complexion and lovely antique teal blue silk gown
