16" (41 cm) doll. Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate with well-defined bosom, blue glass enamel eyes, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, shapely kid torso cut to accommodate modeled bosom, accentuated derriere, kid upper arms and thighs, bisque arms from above the elbows with expressively sculpted fingers and modeled right elbow, bisque legs from above the knees with modeled bare feet having original brass-lined holes on soles for posing on base. Condition: generally excellent, tiny flake on bottom of foot by posing hole. Comments: Radiguet & Cordonnier, the 1880 deposed "Poupee- Statuette" of theatrical costume designer Georges Cordonnier and Marie Radiguet, husband and wife; the unique poupee was offered for five years only in very limited production. Value Points: very rare doll with distinctive body and shoulderplate modeling, rare original posing stand with original label, beautiful bisque and painting, along with antique turquoise silk gown and straw bonnet.
