Very pale pressed bisque socket head, grey glass enamel eyes with pronounced spiral threading, painted short dark lashes, dark eyeliner, mauve blushed eye shadow, lightly feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, wearing burgundy silk princess-style dress with lace borders, undergarments, net stockings, shoes, tulle ruffled bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 0. Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1877. Value Points: the earliest period Jumeau portrait bebe has serene expression with dramatic "wrap-around" eyes, very beautiful bisque, original wig, body, body finish, fine antique costume.
