Description
7 1/2" (19 cm.) x 5". The ebony wooden case with inlay gilt enamel design and working key, hinges open to a beautifully-fitted interior, with mirrored-back decorated by theatre-like curtains. The interior has various hidden niches and is fitted with elaborate gilt sewing scissors, awl, needle case and thimble. Excellent condition. French, circa 1865.
