Pressed light-brown ("café au-lait") complexioned bisque swivel head on kid-edged matching bisque shoulder plate with modeled bosom and shoulder blades, amber brown glass enamel inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted dark lashes, black short feathered brows with sculpted detail, softly rounded nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, black fleeced hair over cork pate, Bru deposed kid bebe body with gusset jointing, curved kid arms with brown bisque lower arms and separately sculpted fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (circle dot on head) 5 (shoulder). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1882, one of the first exotic models made by that firm. Value Points: flawlessly preserved original condition of the rare-complexioned bebe, the body is superbly firm and clean, the bisque of head, shoulder plate and hands perfect and superb, the silk dress and underwear original, antique bonnet and shoes.
