16" (41 cm). Pink tinted bisque socket head, sculpted short brown hair with tousled curls and modeled large pink hair bow, intaglio side- glancing blue eyes with large black pupils and white eye dots, black and incised eyeliner, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth modeled as though open with shaded lips parted as though singing, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marked 7764 Heubach (sunburst mark) Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912, the doll is referred to as the "Singing Heubach". Value Points: outstanding details of sculpting that appears virtually to be hand-pressed, finest bisque and painting.
