18" (46 cm). Pale bisque shoulderhead of adult woman with slender face, elongated throat with defined throat hollow, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with hint of smile, accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid gusset-jointed body with kid-over- wooden upper arms, bisque forearms with cupped fingers, defined nails and knuckles. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E. Depose B. Comments: Eugene Constant Barrois, circa 1867, an identical model is shown in The Encyclopedia of French Dolls, page 50. Value Points: exquisite portrait model with flawless delicately tinted pale bisque, wearing splendid antique sand silk gown with delicate cutwork trim, matching coiffe, undergarments, leather boots.
