Bisque socket head with highly defined characterized features of delightedly laughing girl, very small squinting blue glass enamel eyes, sculpted laughter creases around the eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked multi-feathered brows with sculpting details, nicely shaped nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open with sculpted and painted upper and lower teeth, modeled tongue, impressed laughter lines at mouth corners, separately applied pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, cork pate, French composition and wooden fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 10 (head, and 1/6 2 in fired paint). Comments: Emile Jumeau, the 208 model from his rare "series fantastique" created in the early 1890's; the model is a charming and captivating expression of a child in uninhibited laughter.
