12" (30 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead depicting elderly woman, fitted yellow snood cap with red brim encloses all of her hair except two tendrils in front of modeled ears, incised age lines, enamel eyes, strong nose and chin, tow-wrapped armature posable body, painted red stockings and yellow shoes, original country costume. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, fine artistry of sculpting including strong nose and jaw lines.
