23" (59 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, oval-shaped face, almond- shaped blue glass enamel eyes with spiral threading, thick dark eyeliner painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, arched feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, aquiline nose, closed mouth with accented pale lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, French kid gusset-jointed poupee body with shapely torso, stitched and separated fingers, beautifully costumed in sheer cream organza gown with metallic embroidery, undergarments, gold leather heeled shoes. Condition: generally excellent,1" faint hairline at back crown rim may be original, body very sturdy and clean. Marks: K Depose (forehead) K (back of head). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, the model with smiling face, representing or inspired by French Empress Eugenie, was deposed by him in 1873, the "K" indicates the poupee was the next to largest size made of the model. Value Points: very beautiful and rare large size of the desirable deposed model, with choicest bisque and painting.
