24" (61 cm). Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, open mouth with shaded lips, four porcelain teeth, original light brunette hand-tied human hair wig in upswept fashion, pierced ears, original lady-body from unique model by Edmund Daspres designed to wear "new" fashions of the 1905 era, featuring tiny waist, enhanced bosom and derriere, elongated limbs. The doll wears her couturier original ivory silk satin gown with gore-shaped shirt, fitted bodice with plisse organza plastron and sous-sleeves, very beautiful lace undergarments, stockings, white kid shoes, and a wax- orange blossom coronet and tulle veil. The doll is marked "S&H Dep 1159 11" on the head, and "EDB" on the body along with signed "La Patricienne", the trademark of Daspres. The shoes are stamped A La Providence, indicating the boutique from which the doll was sold. French, Steiner succ., circa 1905.
