Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, brown glass enamel inset eyes, richly painted lashes and brows, delicately blushed eye shadow, cheeks and chin, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, all- wooden body with shapely torso, dowel-jointed wooden arms and legs, bisque forearms with beautifully sculpted fingers and nails. The doll is wearing an extraordinary couturier costume of ivory silk twill with pearl bead trim, soutache embroidery, elongated train, veil with wax orange blossoms, undergarments, kid slippers. French, Pierre-Francois Jumeau, circa 1870, a splendid portrait poupee with rare body and original bridal costume.
