Description
8" (21 cm). Standing upon a fancy base, within a bower of silk leaves, and under a filigree church bell are a figural bride and groom in well- detailed costumes of the 1890 era. The base, bell and figures are formed of hardened pastry paste, with hand-painted details of costume and accessories including the bride's coronet. There is a dove posed at the side. A rare large size and early well-preserved "cake-topper". Circa 1890.
