Description
16" (43 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, dark blue paperweight inset eyes, richly painted lashes and brows, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset- jointed arms and legs. The doll is wearing an antique wedding gown of unusual design with contrasting sleeves and blouse front to the ivory satin skirt and plastron, decorated with seven sprays of lilies of the valley, along with a matching coronet and veil, blue Jumeau earrings, undergarments, stockings, white leather shoes. The doll is marked "7" with artist checkmarks, and is in fine original condition throughout. Jumeau, circa 1880.
