Description
17" (43 cm). Poured wax shoulder head, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, lightly tinted brows and lashes, closed mouth, inserted blonde mohair wig, original softly stuffed muslin body, poured wax arms and legs. The doll is wearing an ivory satin wedding gown with fine lace-trimmed bodice, undergarments, shoes, stockings, and a lace veil with orange blossom trim. The doll is marked "Chas. Marsh" with boutique label on front torso. English, circa 1880, a well-preserved and lovely portrait bride.
