Description
5" (13 cm). Bisque swivel head on bisque torso, brown glass enamel eyes, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, painted stockings and shoes. The little boy is wearing his original formal court wear including lace jabot, French silk sash, short trousers, formal grey greatcoat, hat, and is carrying a large bouquet of flowers for the bride. The doll is preserved, impeccably, in his original box, that celebrates New Year's Day, although he appears costumed as the young family member attending the wedding couple. French, circa 1890.
