35" (88 cm). Bisque socket head with slender elongated facial modeling and throat portraying an elegant adult woman, brown glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth (rare on this model),pierced ears, brunette human hair, with original French lady body designed by Edmund Daspres, the successor to the Steiner firm in 1905. The body features tiny waist with well defined bosom and derriere, and elongated limbs, designed to wear the "new" styles of the early 20th century. The doll wears an exceptional high-necked wedding gown of delicate dotted silk with lace and ruffled trim, undergarments, leather shoes, with wax orange blossom coronet and veil, orange blossom spray, and orange blossom wrist corsage. The doll is marked "1199 S&H Dep 13" on the head, and "EDB" initials on the body. Rarity features include her grand size, closed mouth, seldom found body style, and superb original condition that is perfectly preserved. It seems unquestionable that the doll was created as an exhibition model.
