Description

33" (84 cm). Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark painted lashes, richly brush stroked brows, shaded nostrils, open mouth, shaded and outlined lips, row of porcelain teeth, separately sculpted pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. The doll is marked "16" and has "Tete Jumeau" red stamp on head, and "Bebe Jumeau Bte SGDG Depose" on body. The doll, in very fine condition, wears its superb original ivory silk satin wedding gown with full lining for rich draping, wax orange blossom coronet with tulle veil, matching orange blossom spray at the waist, undergarments, cream kidskin shoes, pearl drop earrings, and carries a silk aumoniere for little gifts bestowed at the wedding.
