Description
20" x 14" (51 x 38 cm). An elaborately arranged presentation encircling a rose silk tufted cushion features a metal black bird with wreath of harmony, another metal black bird, and 22-karat gold-plated symbols comprising 22 fern frond,14 four-petal flowers, and two maple leaves at the crest. A scrollwork frame supports an arrangement of 11 trapezoid-shaped beveled mirrors symbolizing perfect harmony in the home. Nesting upon the silk cushion is the bride's wax orange blossom coronet, along with a pair of bisque dolls in original bride and groom costumes. The arrangement is on an ebony-painted wooden base with blown glass dome and is beautifully preserved. French, circa 1900.
