Description
21" x 15" (53 x 38 cm). A beautiful arrangement with richly gilded symbols including ivy leaves signifying attachment, and daisies signifying love, has an unusual kingfisher bird at the side, one kidney shaped mirror and two oval mirrors. Resting upon the central rose velvet tufted cushion is an extraordinary wax orange blossom coronet and bridal bouquet with lace covered handle. There are also two wax orange blossom earrings. Embellishing the crown of the arrangement is a bouquet of hand-pressed white bisque roses, daisies, and bellflowers with silk leaves. The entire arrangement is on ebony-finish wooden base with glass dome. French, circa 1890.
