18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full cheeks, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, dark painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with bow-shaped outline and shaped lips, pierced ears, auburn mohair wig, dimpled chin and philtrum. French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body, straight wrists, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, faint hairline at back of head from crown rim. Marks: F. 8 G. (block letters) Comments: Gaultier, circa 1878. Value Points: early block letter model has gorgeous modeling and bisque with delicate pale complexion.
