Description
12" x 12" (31 x 31 cm). A red velvet tufted cushion with gilded filigree frame is embellished with six gold-plated daisies and six oak leaves representing strength and longevity for the couple, along with two trapezoidal mirrors symbolizing their perfect harmony. There are 11 small bisque flowers. Posed upon the cushion is a splendid wax bridal coronet of tiny orange blossoms, buds and bellflowers designed with cascading larger blossoms to frame both sides of the bride's face. The arrangement is on its original ebony-finished wooden base with four- sided blown glass dome. French, circa 1890.
