20" x 13" (51 x 33 cm). A red velvet tufted cushion is centered within an elaborate arrangement of six mirrors, the largest with etched fern design and beveled edge, along with five rectangular mirrors representing the years of engagement. There are seventeen oak leaves representing the hope for longevity of the couple, three cosmos, and two daisies. Overall is a winged dove with a wreath of harmony, and there is a smaller dove below along with two other nesting birds. The bride's simple coronet is arranged upon the cushion, and included is a red, white and blue medallion with the year 1915 upon it, and a wide embossed brass helmet shield dated 1914. The presentation is arranged upon an ebony-finished wooden base with glass dome. The ephemera is poignant, the details of their story are not known. French, circa 1915.
